I recently had to undergo gynae surgery at Worthing Hospital and I was very well looked after by Dr Christopher Marshall, my Anaesthetist. Dr Marshall instilled such confidence, and gave me every care. A very pleasant man who really listened to me. (Not everyone does!) I had no problems at all with the surgery, and I am very happy indeed to give Dr Marshall the 5 stars he really does deserve. Thank you Christopher!

Dr Chris Marshall made me feel very much more at ease before my operation than when I arrived and explained everything I needed to know clearly and reassuringly. He was very clear in his explanations of what was happening and I felt very comfortable in his presence. He also came back after the operation during recovery and checked on me; he explained there was a minor concern about my heart during monitoring and told me what he wanted to arrange for a follow up and asked about any history (myself and family). I felt he was very caring but also plain speaking and professional which is very important when you are nervous and feel slightly drowsy and vulnerable after anaesthetic! Overall, he made me feel so much better about something I really wasn’t looking forward to having to go through. Thank you very much for looking after me so well.

Just a lovely man. Relaxing and personable, he made me feel heard in consultation and used easily understandable language. I at no time felt embarrassed or vulnerable and the pain relief for immediate post-op (which I assume he prescribed) was amazingly effective. Just a very happy experience all round. I'm a HCP myself - this is the kind of care I'd want my own clients to receive. Very reassuring.

Dr Marshall was very understanding and put my mind at ease. He listened to me and explained what would happen in a way that was easy to understand. I can was very nervous and has calm approach and taking his time to talk to me really helped me feel more relaxed and card for. He made me feel like a person and not a number, even when they were extremely busy. Thank you
